* Boys Over Flowers *
> aaaaahhhh… “Kkotboda Namja” - the Korean Version of Meteor Garden (Taiwan) and Hana Yori Dango (Japan). *dreamy*
Title: Kkotboda Namja (Boys Before/Over Flowers)
Country: South Korea
Episodes: 25
Date Aired: Jan. 5, 2009 - Mar. 31, 2009
I watched this last week and finished it after 5days. wow. i lo0ove all of the versions made throughout the years and this is no different. cant believe that it was just last year that i saw Hana Yori Dango (Japanese), and now this… wow.. =)
the very essence of the series was captured well in the Korean version. i liked the inexistence of the “cousin” (Blue Lan’s role in MG), but i was kinda looking forward to the “rain scene” outside the mansion which was not present in BOF. anyway, i could go on and on with the comparison and similarities among the 3 versions, so let’s cut it here.
i had so much fun watching BOF! i swear! i would talk nonstop about how cute the guys are (only two of them, though) and how amazing the chemistry of KimBum and KimSoEun is!
* Cast:
Koo Hye-Sun as Geum Jan-Di (Dong Shan Cai/Makino Tsukushi)
Lee Min-Ho as Goo Joon-Pyo (Dao Ming Si/Domyouji Tsukasa)
Kim Hyun-Joong as Yoon Ji-Hoo (Hua Ze Lei/Hanazawa Rui)
Kim Bum as So Yi-Jung (Xi Men/Nishikado Soujiro)
Kim Joon as Song Woo-Bin (Mei Zuo/Mimasaka Akira)
Kim So-Eun as Choo Ga-Eul (Xiao You/Yuuki)
Kim Hyun-Joo as Goo Joon-Hee (Joon-Pyo’s older sister)
Han Chae-Young as Min Seo-Hyeon (Ji-Hoo’s girlfriend/Teng Tang Jin)
Lee Min-Jeong as Ha Jae-Gyeong (Joon-Pyo’s fiancee)
Lee Shi-Yeong as Oh Min-ji (Jan-Di’s friend in school)
no offense, the male lead Joon-Pyo (Lee Min-ho) is a certified hottie, but Kim Bum (playing Yi-Jeong) really kept my mouth hanging open the entire time! he’s the cutest i’ve seen since Lee Dong-Wook from My Girl! OMG! and his story with Ga-Eul (Kim So-Eun) really got me so hooked.. aaaaawwwww.. (too bad he’s practically my younger bro’s age)
this series will be aired in ABSCBN soon..i hope people will watch it.. because i’m gonna watch it over and over again.. =) plus the korean names are retained! wo0ohoooh!
* What to look forward:
- it’s given: the cute F4 guys are something to look forward (don’t be fooled by the photos, there’s no justice in it) *suh-weet!*
- So Yi-Jeong the playboy potter (portrayed by actor Kim Bum)
- Goo Joon-Pyo the hot grumpy leader (by actor Lee Min-Ho)
- loveteam to watchout: Yi-Jeong and Ga-Eul (the female lead’s BFF)
- New Caledonia, Macau, and Jeju Island scenes
- Goo Joon-Pyo’s romantic ‘everything’ to Jan-Di
- wonderful “LSS”-worthy soundtrack
- great support cast! > the mom and sister, the girlfriend and fiancee!
* The Vampire Diaries *

im back.. =) dont’ worry this is not another entry about the Twilight Saga..
Last March, i started reading L.J. Smith’s “The Vampire Diaries“. It’s a trilogy (The Awakening, The Struggle, and The Fury) involving a highschool senior named Elena “stuck” between two vampire brothers: Stefan and Damon. This was a recommended read by ‘vampire’ lovers..
Take note, this series came out WAY BEFORE the Twilight Saga. This was published back in 1993. The same setting: highschool, vampires, forbidden love, love triangle, werewolf, but I think that’s as far as it goes.
There are no Cullens, it’s “bloody”, violent, cheesy (in a VERY highschool way), and it’s refreshing to read. It’s not that strict in sticking into the love story compared to Twilight. It’s more of the danger of having a vampire in town while also taking into account the love story between Elena and Stefan. > Twilght’s the other way around - more love story than vampire violence. =)
After the success of the trilogy, another book was released: Dark Reunion. (which i just finished reading) It’s the ‘transition’ from the first trilogy and to the new trilogy of The Vampire Diaries in store (Nightfall, Shadow Souls, Midnight).
It was hard to finish this book because the Twilight Saga was such a blast for me. I kept on comparing Vampire Diaries to Twilight Saga, it was hard to concentrate. Finally, I finished up to Dark Reunion, and I’m not sure though if I want to read the new trilogy. haha..
This book is gonna be turned into (no, not a movie) a TV series. Cant wait to see who’s gonna play the sexy Italian vampire brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore. =)

* surprise surprise! *
after watching, there are two films that i found surprising. in a happy way, ha..
first, “300″.

would you believe that after 2 years, i finally saw this film?! everybody was saying how cool the movie is, and i was expecting that but it’s another thing to actually see the film itself. and i loved it!!! the fight scenes rock!!! half-naked men with tight abs in a killing spree?! whoop-dee-doo! suh-weet! =D
memorable lines:
> “Madness?! THIS. IS. SPARTA!!!”
> “Tonight we dine in hell!”
> “Prepare for glory!”
> “Spartans! What is your profession?!”
> *cheer* “AHOO-AHOO-AHOO!”
> “My queen. My wife. My love.” (thanx for the reminder Cheng..here it is..)
and then, “Camp Rock”.

haha..from a highly acclaimed film to a tv movie-bopper flick? sorry for spoiling the moment, but i cant help it.. i liked it.. Demi (Mitchie) wasn’t ‘gooey’ at all, and Joe Jonas was definitely a shocker. like, he was actually dancing?! he deserved an “A” for trying and he kinda pulled it off, anyway. rock en rol! and i love how he sang ‘Gotta Find You’.. (i’m here!) he just upped his points on my cuties list.. =)
* tinADhAnA…
“destined” haha.. just finished watching Fated to Love You! it’s the highest rating idol drama in Taiwan! and it’s ‘ke ai’ (cute).. =) lotz a laugh trips. hehe..
Synopsis:
It was a case of mistaken identity that big shot Ji CunXi (Ethan Ruan) knocked up the very simple ’sticky note’ girl Chen XinYi (Joe Chen). He has a girlfriend - Anna (Bianca Bai) - but has to be responsible and marry her. A crazy relationship starts between the two strangers, asking along the way: “Am I fated to love you?”
jeez.. that was a crappy summary. haha.. but i liked the drama.. there was this one episode that i cried so much.. crying is Joe Chen’s forte and she pulled it off well, as usual..hmmm…
the character that i really love here is Dylan (Baron Chen)! he’s the ‘other guy’ but he’s just so perfect! *sigh* you can’t help adoring him the whole time! until the very end.. i love how his character was developed.. =)
